QlikTech launches user-driven Business Intelligence for iPad

Delivers live, relevant data for business users

QlikTech, a business intelligence (BI) company, has unveiled its new QlikView offering on iPad.

The offering provides business users with anywhere, anytime access to live data and analytics, said the company. It grabs and combines data from virtually anywhere, including the most complex ERP and CRM and then lets users take and shape that data any way they want.

QlikView also allows users to understand what’s happening with their business as it happens, said the company. The offering offers the flexibility to instantly adapt analyses, data sources and visualisations, the company said.

QlikView uses the interactive potential of the iPad by delivering a touch-driven interface.

QlikTech UK and Ireland managing director Sean Farrington said first-generation iPad BI apps turn iPads into “dumb pads.”

Farrington added QlikView for iPad “lets users explore information up, down and sideways, make any associations they choose, and precisely customise so it maps 100% to their individual requirements.”

“Doing all of this in a browser-based form for enterprise security and manageability also makes it built for the future of the tablet, not just its introduction.”
